Received B.S. degree in Automation from Nankai University in July 2002, and Ph.D. degree in Control Theory and Control Engineering from Nankai University in July 2007. Recipient of Tianjin Natural Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scholars, selected for "Nankai University's Program for Training 100 Young Academic Leaders" and the second level of Tianjin "131" Innovation Talent Training Project, listed in Stanford University/Elsevier's Global Top 2% Scientists. Has led multiple projects including National Natural Science Foundation of China Joint Key/General/Youth Projects, National Key R&D Program Projects, Tianjin Natural Science Foundation General Projects, GF Projects, and enterprise collaboration projects. Received State Grid Corporation of China Science and Technology Progress First Prize, Best Paper in Automation Award of IEEE International Conference on Automation and Logistics, Finalist for Best Paper Award of IEEE Annual International Conference on CYBER Technology in Automation, Control, and Intelligent Systems, Finalist for Best Paper Award of IEEE International Conference on Real-time Computing and Robotics, Best Paper Presentation Award at China Optics Valley AI Conference, and Outstanding Reviewer for Acta Automatica Sinica. Received Ph.D. degree in Control Theory and Control Engineering from Nankai University in 2009, conducted postdoctoral research at Utah State University from 2009 to 2010, visited University of California, Riverside from 2017 to 2018, and visited City University of Hong Kong in 2008, 2013, 2016, and 2024. Recipient of Hebei Natural Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scholars, selected for "Nankai University's Program for Training 100 Young Academic Leaders", New Century Excellent Talents Support Program of Hebei Higher Education Institutions, Hebei Province "333" Talent Project (Third Level), and listed in Stanford University/Elsevier's Global Top 2% Scientists (2023, 2024). Has led multiple projects including National Natural Science Foundation of China Major Cultivation/General/Youth Projects, Fujian Natural Science Foundation General Projects, Ministry of Education Returned Scholars Research Startup Fund, and enterprise collaboration projects. Published 1 monograph (Springer, first author), over 40 papers in IEEE/IFAC journals, and obtained over 30 patents. Published a long review paper in Foundations & Trends in Systems and Control (which publishes 2-3 papers annually). Xiaobin Liu

Received the B.E. degree from Nankai University in 2016, and the Ph.D. degree from Peking University in Jan. 2022. He was a senior researcher with focus on multimodal content understanding in PCG, Tencent from 2022.02 to 2024.08. He is now an assistant professor in Laboratory for Advanced Perception and Control (LAPC), College of AI, Nankai University. His work focuses on embodied AI and multimodal content understanding. He has authored or co-authored 20 papers on important journals or conferences such as TIP, PR, NeurIPS, IJCAI, ACM MM. He was a recipient of the Second Prize of Technical Invention of Tianjin, National Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award in Transportation Engineering, the Excellent Presentation Award on ICIVC 2025, the 3rd-place award on the 5th Tianjin "Haihe Talents" postdoctoral innovation and entrepreneurship contest. He serves as a Track Chair on ICIVC 2025, and a reviewer of more than 10 journals or conferences, including TIP, IJCV, CVPR, ICCV, etc. His research is funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), National Key R&D Program, Postdoctoral Fellowship Program of CPSF, China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, and China Postdoctoral Science Foundation - Tianjin Joint Support Program.

Wenbin Zhu

Received the B.S. degree from Nankai University in June 2019 and will receive the Ph.D. degree from the same institution in June 2025. Will join Nankai University as an assistant researcher (postdoctoral fellow) in September 2025. Awarded the Nankai University Gongneng First-Class Scholarship, the Excellence Award in Space Self-Localization Competition, and third prizes in both Target Detection and Recognition Competition and Unmanned Cooperative Networking and Path Planning Competition at "Challenge Underground-2020". Also received the S.S. Chern Academic Newcomer Scholarship (High-Level Research Paper Award Program) and third prize in Tianjin "Haihe Talent" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition Postdoctoral Challenge. Published a full-length paper on semantic SLAM as first author in IEEE Transactions on Robotics. Participated in three National Natural Science Foundation of China projects (including General Program and Joint Fund Key Program), one National Key R&D Program of China project.
